What if you could write a poem every day?

Erica Goss, Poet Laureate Emerita of Los Gatos, has created 20 in 30 (20 poems in 30 days), a poetry writing class designed for poets of all levels.

20 in 30 is an on-line poetry class that will help you:

• Write a poem every day, five days a week (weekends off)
• Develop a creative habit that will deepen your writing practice
• Use prompts specially created to get you writing
• Work with other students to refine and enhance each others’ poetry

20 in 30 is an on-line poetry class created and taught by Erica Goss, Poet Laureate Emerita of Los Gatos. Through weekly meetings via Skype or phone, Erica will coach each student in individual, one-on-one sessions.

Fake it ‘til you make it.

In this 4-week course, students will

• Write imitation poems “in the manner of” a famous poet
• “Deliberately misunderstand” a famous poem
• Start a “swipe” file
• Read, imitate, emulate, and transform work from other writers into their own
• Copy a poem by hand
• Borrow another writer’s structure and use it as the skeleton for new work
• Revise an abandoned poem
