When I decided to retire Sticks & Stones and create a fresh newsletter, I asked myself what I enjoy most in a newsletter.
Here’s my list:
- I’d like to be able to read the whole thing in thirty minutes or less.
- I want to discover things I can’t read or find in other newsletters.
- I like nice visuals and interesting photos and art.
- I don’t want to click on too many links.
- Please, entertain me!
- Even more, inspire me!
- Make me want to share it with others.
- I’d rather not be asked to become a paid subscriber, buy a cup of coffee, or join a Discord community.
So here it is, plain and simple:
As a subscriber of “A Writer’s Homestead,” you will receive a monthly newsletter full of fun and useful things, focused on place, as in, where you are and how where you are affects you. I will do my best to live up to my list of preferences, and invite you to share yours so that we can make “A Writer’s Homestead” as worthwhile as possible.
Some examples of what’s in store:
Seasonal reflections; what I’m reading, word of the month, poetry, art, field trips, what I’m working on, and features about the natural world. Each issue will have a theme take from Nature, based on my own observations.
If this sounds interesting to you, please subscribe here.
Thank you!
